OUR ORGANIZATION

The Legal Nomads' mission is to connect friendly, cosmopolitan legal professionals in cities in Asia and around the world.  Our approach of offering in-person meetups facilitates more trusted connections that will provide opportunities for referrals, cooperation, and support.  Whether you are a lawyer, paralegal, legal assistant, scholar, or someone who supports the legal industry, you are welcome to our semi-annual or annual gatherings, which hopefully reflect our core values of kindness, integrity, and giving back. 

The Legal Nomads nonprofit is currently funded through its founders and is supported with part-time staff who research cities, organize events, identify prospective legal nomads, conduct outreach, and design and maintain resources.  After meetups, city chapters are seeded under the direction of Legal Nomads staff and with the help of local city organizers.

After some soft launches in a few cities, The Legal Nomads' first official event was on 1 May 2025 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, widely considered to be the land of the nomads.  Expansion into major cities in East and Southeast Asia should be mostly complete by the of 2026, with 2027 expanding further to Central, South, and West Asia, and 2028 to Australia and China.  Expansion is also planned in major American and Canadian cities as well, effectively connecting legal professionals in major cities in Asia and with the US and Canada.
